ArtSpace Charter School provides Exceptional Children’s services to qualifying children with disabilities who require assistance to benefit from the regular school program. The Exceptional Children’s program at ArtSpace strives to serve each child with a disability in the regular classroom using an includion mode to the greatest extent possible.
As a public charter school, ArtSpace follows all state and federal regulations governing locating, identifying, and evaluating children with disabilities.
Special Education Services
ArtSpace develops and implements Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students eligible for services to ensure every student has free and appropriate access to education. The program includes related services such as occupational and speech therapy when deemed necessary by the child’s IEP team.

Parents who suspect their child may have a disability may contact Lucy Sawyer (email@example.com) or their child’s Homeroom teacher to request further evaluation.
