Lori Cozzi (Executive Director) was born in Florida where she got her B.A. in Communications and M.S. in Arts Education. She taught art in both middle and elementary schools for eight years, before deciding to gain experience as a more traditional classroom teacher. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Middle Childhood Education. Lori joined ArtSpace in 2004 and has worked as the arts integration facilitator and more recently as Program Administrator. Currently, she is an adjunct professor for Mars Hill College and an A+ Fellow for the North Carolina A+ Program, a nation-wide whole school reform model whose central vision is to create enhanced learning opportunities for all students by using arts-integrated instruction She lives in Black
Mountain with her husband Shane, daughter Ayla, and son Elias who attends
ArtSpace.

Sarah Christy (Director of Business & Development) was born in NYC and grew up in Kansas. She began her career after college as a reporter for the Hendersonville Times-News. She made her way back to WNC after 20 years of working in business, marketing and sales in Washington, D.C., Europe and Asia/Pacific. She has a B.A. from the University of Kansas and a M.S. from Columbia University. Prior to joining ArtSpace in 2007, she had worked as an ESL and GED teacher, SAT tutor and consultant for data analysis/consolidation. She also built a secondary school on a small Indonesian island where she spent a considerable amount of time after leaving her corporate job in London.

Kimberly Scoville (Assistant Director) was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois. She received her B.A. in Social Studies from Bradley University and a master's in Curriculum Instruction from Northeastern University and National Louis University . She taught at two gifted private schools in Chicago, The Creative Children's Academy and The Science and Arts Academy. She also taught in various Gifted Enrichment/Summer Programs and started the first support group for parents of gifted children in the Chicago area. Kimberly started the first support group for parents of gifted children in the Chicago area, the support groups followed the SENG format (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted Child). She also taught in Gifted Pull-Out Programs in Lake Zurich, Illinois. She lives in Asheville and has two grown daughters, one who currently attends Loyola Law School and the other who is working on her master's at the Univerity of Colorado.
