Mr. Alex - “3-8 Juggling” in the Theater

MONDAYS: 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6

Learning to juggle can be easy! We will take a playful approach to understanding the basics of juggling. Before too long each student will learn the most basic pattern: the 3-ball cascade. We will also focus on simple partner juggling that will build rhythm for more complex patterns & tricks alone and with others.

Each class will start with a video of either a basic juggling pattern or artful juggling performance. We will drop our props and that's the first step! Practice makes progress, and each throw will build on the previous. Some introduction to other juggling and movement-based props will be incorporated.

THURSDAYS: 11/4, 11/12 (Fri.), 11/18, 12/2, 12/9

In this playful yoga class designed for elementary aged-children, students will learn yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation exercises. Classes will include a variety of collaborative movement activities, yoga games, partner and group poses, and reflection activities. Through this class students will cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration, and give children the tools to manage stress in their daily lives. Games, stories, and music will be incorporated into this fun, non-competitive class.
