School Counselor

ArtSpace Charter School has an immediate opening for a full time school counselor for grades K-8th. This position begins as soon as possible. Applicants must have a current North Carolina Professional Educator’s License as Counselor (005) and be willing to work in a collaborative, integrated, experiential environment. Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, school counselors promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students. The counselor will be expected to work with students individually and in small groups, collaborate with classroom teachers, and provide support through reentry to in person learning. ArtSpace is a two-time National Distinguished School, awarded for academic growth and exceptional services for educationally disadvantaged students. EC Teacher (Grades 5/6)

This position is posted for immediate need and offers a $1,500 signing bonus for a highly qualified candidate in this specialty area.  This full time teaching position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing high quality instruction in support and development of students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).  Teachers will work with students in small groups, individually, and co-teaching environments in either in-person or remote environments.  Applicants MUST have a current North Carolina teaching license in Special Education. Applicants must have experience with writing and implementing IEPs and be interested in arts integration practices.
