Theater Arts/ Drama Teacher

ArtSpace Charter School in Swannanoa, NC is seeking applicants for the 2023-24 school year for a full time Theater Arts/ Drama Teacher.  The teacher will work with students in kindergarten through 8th grade, designing unique learning activities and experiences to develop students’ interest, abilities, talents and skills. The teacher will support and coordinate theatrical performances.  This teacher also serves on the Arts Integration Team, a team of art specialists that foster and develop meaningful integration practices throughout the school.  Applicants must have a teaching license and be willing to work in a collaborative, creative, experiential environment.  Knowledge of arts integration strategies is required.  Please send resumes and cover letters to: [email protected] with the subject heading “Theater Arts Teacher.”

Technology Technician

This is an immediate opening for a full time school technology technician.  This position provides tier 1, end-user technical support in a K-8 school environment, acting as a first-line of support for all hardware and software technical questions. The person who fills this position must be able to work independently, be intrinsically motivated, highly organized, detail oriented, generate creative solutions, and self-monitoring of personal performance, while focusing on staff and students’ needs, providing solutions in a timely and sensitive manner.  A degree in a related field, supplemented by at least one year of technical or on-the-job training is required.  Send a resume to [email protected] with “Technology Technician” in the subject heading.

School Social Worker

ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 public charter school in Swannanoa, NC, is seeking applicants for the 2023-24 school year for a School Social Worker. Applicants must have a BA or Master’s degree in Social Work and hold a current North Carolina social work certification/license. Two years of experience in elementary or middle school is preferred, but not required. The school social worker serves as a part of the Student Support Team to provide direct and indirect services to promote maximum development of all students by prevention/alleviation of problems that interfere with the tasks of learning through knowledge of human behavior, social systems and social work skills. EC Teacher 

ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 school  in Swannanoa, NC, is seeking applicants for the 2023-24 school year for a full time Elementary EC Teacher.  This teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing high quality instruction in support and development of students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).  Teachers will work with students in small groups, individually, and co-teaching environments, primarily in a separate setting.  This position begins in August for the 2023-24 school year.  Applicants MUST have a current North Carolina teaching license in Special Education. Applicants must have experience with writing and implementing IEPs and be interested in arts integration practices. Speech Language Pathologist

ArtSpace Charter School in Swannanoa, NC is seeking applicants for the 2023-24 school year for a part time Speech Language Pathologist.   This position will work with students individually and in small groups on speech goals, manage a caseload of students who have Individualized Education Plans (IEP),  conduct formal evaluations to determine eligibility for services, and collaborate with general education and special education teachers. Permanent Substitute

ArtSpace Charter School is seeking applicants for the 2023-24 school year for a Permanent Substitute Teacher. This is a full time position, with benefits, working at the school daily during regular school hours. The substitute will serve in classes as needed based on absences, support small group instruction, and/or support the front office staff. Candidates should be flexible, dependable, and willing to contribute in a collaborative, integrated, experiential environment. A bachelor's degree and experience in education is required.
