Literacy (Title I) Instructional Assistant 

ArtSpace Charter School in Swannanoa, NC, is seeking a Literacy Instructional Assistant to provide small group reading instruction to K–8 students who need additional literacy support. Ideal applicants will have experience working with children and a willingness to learn or knowledge of reading instruction, including phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate with teachers. This is a 10-month position with a start date in August 2026. EC Teacher Assistant

ArtSpace Charter School (grades K-8) in Swannanoa, NC is seeking applicants for the 2025-26 school year for an Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant.  As a part of the EC  Team, the assistant performs a variety of tasks to support learning and behavioral success in the intensive intervention and general education classrooms. The Assistant focuses on student needs, enriches the efforts of the EC teacher, and ensures the provision of quality instruction for all assigned students. Employee provides individual assistance with academics and behavioral needs and may lead small group activities. Minimum Requirements:  Associate's degree, OR, three (3) years of experience working with students with special needs: OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Instructional Assistant - Elementary

This is a full time instructional support position, assigned in the elementary grades.  This position is responsible for reinforcing and supporting classroom instruction through individual or small group work.  The assistant supports and collaborates with teachers in the development of educational materials.  This is a 10 month position, salaried over 12 months, posted for the 2026-27 school year.  Experience in education or a degree in a related field is required.  Send a resume to [email protected] with “Instructional Assistant” in the subject heading.
