Middle School Director 

ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 public school near Asheville, NC, is seeking an energetic, skilled, and motivated Middle School Director. The Middle School Director will serve as the lead administrator for the North Wing (grades 5-8) and will be an active member of the school’s administrative team, reporting to the school’s Executive Director. The Middle School Director is responsible for supporting the academic needs of students and the professional development of staff, fostering an environment of growth, responsibility, and academic excellence. This role includes overseeing school improvement efforts, designing structures and processes to create a positive, collaborative, and engaging teaching and learning environment for middle school students.

Applicants must have a degree in education or a related field, along with experience in an educational setting, preferably at the middle school level. An advanced degree and/or administrative license is preferred. Applicants should be willing to work in a collaborative, integrated, and experiential environment.

Instructional Assistant - Kindergarten

After-School Enrichment Instructor

ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 public school near Asheville, NC is seeking an energetic, skilled, and dynamic professional to join our team.  The enrichment instructor is a part time position, at 15-18 hours per week beginning in August of 2025.  The instructor works with K-8th grade students in the after school program and will be responsible for leading enrichment activities in the arts, supervising students, supporting program goals, and facilitating a safe, positive  environment.  Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in child care.  Send a resume to [email protected] with “Encore Staff” in the subject heading.

Literacy Instructional Assistant 

ArtSpace Charter School in Swannanoa, NC, is seeking a Literacy Instructional Assistant to provide small group reading instruction to K–8 students who need additional literacy support. Ideal applicants will have experience working with children and a willingness to learn or knowledge of reading instruction, including phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate with teachers. This is a 10-month position with a start date in August 2025.
